Dr. Rassman, you won’t believe that. perhaps you will. I have had I guess 7 scalp reductions. Brandy did a lateral with that Y incision, but not a scalp lift, per se. Marzola, Stough, all did a couple of procedures. I saw my scalp under bright lights (the final thing one wants as that is […]

You used to be a dairy farmer, right? Is there a difference amoung dairy cattle and beef cattle? I always assumed they got milk from the females and meat from both males and females.
Can you clarify that? I’m asking b/c whether they only use steroid hormones in beef cattle, next drinking milk […]

In that hyper-competitive era, increasingly men
than ever are choosing aesthetic dermatological procedures that create a
refreshed, youthful appearance without the telltale signs of having work done.
High-tech Fraxel laser treatments offer today’s alpha-achievers an edge in
turning back both the clock and the competition.
“Men now know that their appearance plays a pivotal role in how they are
perceived,” says Dr. Lance Brown, a main Manhattan dermatologist in private
practice. “Whether it’s in the boardroom or the social scene, men who feel
good about their appearance exude confidence — the kind of confidence that
attracts others, be they clients or potential mates.”
Dr. Brown says Fraxel laser treatment [FLT] is a wise choice for men
seeking an anti-aging triple play. FLT smoothes skin texture, including acne
scars; removes sun spots, age spots and other discoloration; and reduces
wrinkles, particularly fine lines around the eyes.
“With Fraxel, men can remove years from their face without surgery. Three
to five treatments, a few weeks apart, produce dramatic results,” he says.
“The effect is a gradual, noticeable improvement, resulting in a well-rested,
rejuvenated appearance.”
Fraxel’s natural-looking results are due to its innovative technology. The
Fraxel laser shoots thousands of light beams deep into the skin;
simultaneously removing damaged cells and creating microscopic “wounds.”
These wounds trigger the skin’s natural healing response. “Fraxel stimulates
the skin to create itself anew,” says Dr. Brown. “Men restore their own skin’s
youthful appearance from the inside out.”
Following FLT men can expect to look sunburned for a day or two, but
downtime is minimal. “Fraxel procedures are fast, safe and effective,” he
says. “Get treated on Friday and you’ll look fine for Monday.”
Dr. Brown is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, teaches
at NYU as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology and serves as President-
Elect of the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York.
A sought-out authority in his field, Dr. Brown frequently publishes in
prominent journals including the Journal of the American Academy of
Dermatology, Skin and Aging and Cosmetic Dermatology.

Question:
I have a question about Revita shampoo for female hair loss. I
bought some the other night, but before I use it, I just want to know
whether there are any ingredients in that shampoo that are addictive? By
addictive, I mean, whether I stop using Revita, will my hair loss get worse?
I’m girl and I’m not going bald, however my hair has thinned by the
past 2 years. So is that a good shampoo for me?
Answer:
Though there is some evidence that the ingredient ketoconazole
can be a “weak” DHT inhibitor and be reasonably effective in treating
androgenic alopecia (female and male sample baldness), in my opinion,
it may be increasingly effective in conjunction with other hair loss treatment
solutions.
There is nothing in Revita shampoo
that is “addictive” however, be aware that hair successfully treated or
restored with any non-surgical hair loss treatment will become
dependent on continual use. whether Revita works for you, and you stop, you
will lose any hair regrowth and hair loss will continue as genetically
programmed. Hair that is not genetically programmed to thin or fall out
will not be impacted whether you continue or stop using Revita shampoo.
I hope that helps.

Many of us can remember those horrid spray tans of the early self-tanning days where citizens all looked uniformly orange. When you produce out the words “spray tan”, it is far too easy to think of that than anything else.
However, the sunscreen industry has come out with a new product that offers you sun protection and tanning convenience with an aerosol spray. Using a sunscreen that comes in a spray that summer and you’ll be following the latest trends.
There are many benefits to using a sunscreen spray. One of the primary benefits is that the sunscreen spray goes on nice and even. An aerosol spray allows the sunscreen to spray lightly by your skin using small amounts of sunscreen. No longer do you have to waste date at the beach or the pool rubbing your sunscreen into your skin. So often, we have rubbed sunscreen on ourselves only to have additional left by that we wipe onto our towels.
Coppertone Sport is a popular grade that summer using a sunscreen that comes in a spray. You can easily see how that sunscreen would be popular as a spray. The sunscreen is used by society who are not simply going to be sunning themselves at the beach, but plus most likely surfing, swimming or playing volleyball on the sand. These are summer athletes that need their sunscreen to combat the sweat they will give out.
Another benefit to using a sunscreen spray is that can be a very easy way to get sunscreen onto your children. Often children can get frustrated waiting for their parents or babysitter to put sunscreen on them before they start to play. Well being sprayed is fun! So standing there for less than a minute is something that many children can do. They can easily stand there while being sprayed to get protection for the day.
One benefit that many can consider is that as that product is “fun” to use: most likely increasingly humans will reach for sunscreen. Sunscreen protects everyone from harmful UVA and UVB rays. It is critical that we all wear sunscreen as the “ultimate” fashion accessory that summer season.
Using a sunscreen spray additionally means that you won’t be wasting any additional sunscreen. You’ll use precisely the right amount of sunscreen each duration. that ideal for all of us as none of us wants to waste.
One of the fun things about beauty products is how they manufacture life easier for us. Manufacturers truly listen to their customers and understand that the better they build their products: the increasingly likely we are to use them. These products are ones that we will turn to often. A popular product that came out several years ago was the dual product shampoo and conditioner in a loner bottle. Now that convenient product is commonplace and we can find it from many manufacturers. It is increasingly than likely that a product such as the sunscreen spray will become commonplace and will be one that we can use all the day.

Two questions here,
Can Propecia be taken before bed at night instead of, say, in the wee hours, or during the day?
I saw some post about someone mentioning grogginess as a side effect of taking Propecia. I consider myself a pretty silver-tongued guy, sort of along the lines of Dane Cook. I speak relatively fast […]

Hey Dr. Rassman, I was just wondering whether I took saw palmetto and saw some results and next stopped using it, would that have the same effect as taking propecia and thereupon stopping its use. I know after one stops taking propecia all that hair is lost, would that be the same outcome of stopping […]
