ZONASE X

March 31st, 2010 at 12:29pm Under Products

Aqua BioAqua Bio Technology AS (ABT), a Norwegian marine biotechnology company developing innovative active ingredients for the global personal care industry, nowadays announced the global launch of ZONASE X, a natural anti-aging ingredient composed of marine peptides and rare, non-toxic marine enzymes. Following successful launch in the highly demanding Scandinavian market, ZONASE X is now ready for the global market.

The primary benefit of the different ZONASE X is gentle, yet effective exfoliation, making it a safe and natural alternative to ±-hydroxy acid, harsh fruit enzyme peels, and other potentially caustic exfoliating agents. In addition, the ingredient has shown excellent moisturizing properties, allowing for accelerated skin cell growth. “The anti-aging category is driving the market, with forecasts of double-digit growth by the next five years,” said Thor Arne Talseth, Executive Chairman. “Our evaluating shows that all-natural ZONASE X is as effective as other exfoliants on the market - yet does not have the same abrasive qualities and is far gentler on the skin. It additionally offers a moisturizing benefit, providing additional value. These positive attributes have been very well-received during Scandinavian launch, and we believe that strange discovery could quickly become a dominant ingredient within the anti-aging segment.”

ZONASE X was first discovered at the salmon fish hatcheries in Norway, where hatchery staff members had surprisingly smooth hands - despite being immersed in intensely cold water for enlarged periods. Their smooth skin was in fact due to an enzyme in the water secreted by fish larvae inside the egg just prior to hatching. that enzyme helps to break the egg shell during hatching — without harming the highly fragile larvae inside. Further research on that new enzyme indicated that the egg shell had a protein structure akin to corneum proteins of human skin. Thus, the connection to the smooth hands was made - and a new, natural and gentle exfoliant was discovered.

ABT has patented and trademarked the commercial product, and utilizing proprietary technologies, is currently separating and purifying the natural raw fabric originating from the hatchery waters (not harming the fish, larvae or eggs in the process). ZONASE X is considered the only non-toxic, non-promiscuous protease available for use in the cosmetic market. It has been extensively tested for safety and efficacy by the company, and is now being offered to personal care manufacturers in the global market as a new, natural and gentle anti-aging ingredient for exfoliating and moisturizing applications.

ThermaScalp Stops Thinning Hair By Increasing Follicle Circulation

March 31st, 2010 at 10:04am Under Products

GreensationsMillions of men and women suffer from chronic itchy scalp, a condition that generally leads to thinning hair. An itchy scalp is a warning sign of decreased blood flow and clogged hair follicles. As a conclusion, follicles die as they become clogged with various oils, blocking healthy hair growth. Thankfully, that condition can be reversed with natural topical treatments that include herbal extracts such as Saw Palmetto, Pygeum and Olive Leaf. While these herbal extracts can counteract the degradation of follicles, they cannot penetrate damaged follicles on their own. To deliver the true benefits of proven botanicals, hair care products need to create a path to effective absorption. The key is to increase blood flow and topical circulation to help unclog unhealthy follicles.

Now there’s a new scalp spray from Greensations that harnesses the capability of hot peppers to unclog follicles by using nature’s own thermal heat. ThermaScalp is an all natural spray made with the essence of hot peppers known as Capsaicin, to invigorate hair follicles by forcing excess oils and contaminants out of the scalp. ThermaScalp plus contains Caffeine which has been proven to increase topical scalp absorption by up to 40%.

“Our formula is guaranteed to increase scalp circulation and stop itching in less than a minute. Our patent pending formula combines capsaicin and caffeine as a effective carrier to deliver saw palmetto, pygeum, olive leaf and alpha lipoic acid directly into the follicles with noticeably fast results. Within a couple days, hair feels softer and thicker and irritation is gone for most humans,” says Wayne Perry, CEO of GSC Products, manufacturer of ThermaScalp.

Aside from the capsaicin and caffeine, ThermaScalp plus features a distilled water base that is designed to supercharge natural scalp absorption. While most topical products use a purified water base, they generally use water that is created through the Reverse Osmosis process, but the ThermaScalp formula uses Steam Distilled water, something the manufacturer points to as an fundamental difference that sets their hair care product apart from the rest.

“Everyone thinks all water is created equally, but nothing could be further from the truth. Molecules in water are significantly different depending on the type of process used to create that water. While reverse osmosis water is cleaned and purified, it does not match the molecular structure of water found naturally in the human body. Steam distilled water on the other hand, is nearly an exact match to the water molecules in the human body and that allows better absorption,” adds Perry.

Hair follicles naturally regenerate in cycles, but when they become clogged, follicles eventually die due to decreased blood flow and reduced circulation. Once a hair follicle dies, it stops producing hair forever. The resulting symptoms include itching, dryness and general irritation, but follicles can be revived with capsaicin and caffeine.

ThermaScalp spray is guaranteed by the manufacturer to increase circulation and relieve dryness and itching in less than 60 seconds without added chemicals that can cause adverse effects. ThermaScalp can be used with any hair care regimen and can be applied before or after shampooing. ThermaScalp spray is available at Lucky Vitamin, Amazon and Harvest Health as well as at various natural health food retailers.
