This is a comment left by a reader in response to Propecia being under patent protection…
And that is precisely why we need to see the end of Patent laws as we know them nowadays, companies are given way too much moment to bleed us. Its evil. particularly when medication has been Government funded or approved.
The real issue is that patents stop other companies from innovating. In fact while I’m thinking about, we should all be lobbying against the company that tried to sue … [visit site to read more]

I have used the “cover-up” product, Toppik, for a couple of years with pretty good results. I have recently read — albeit online, so of course I am fairly guarded in my reaction — that there is aluminum in that keratin fiber product which may actually clog pores and cause or speed up hair loss/miniaturization. While I have continued to thin in the front and temples where I use the product, I atrributed that to the progress of MPB, not that product. Do you have thoughts on that? Do … [visit site to read more]

“Here’s a website where they claim by 1,500 patients treated,” says Daley, one of the world’s foremost stem cell researchers. “That doesn’t mean they’ve been treated successfully. It’s ‘buyer beware!’”

Back from vacation – a MUCH needed break from reality! It was great to see my friends and show off my new hairline! I didn’t get the reaction I was fairly hoping for, and I think it’s mostly considering they still have that image in their minds of what I looked like many years ago. I did kind of bring it up at one point and my friend that I hadn’t seen in 6 years said “you look the same” and even though that made me feel good that she couldn’t really tell that I had anything done, it still made me a teeny bit sad. I showed her pictures of me from just before the procedure and that’s when I got the reaction I was hoping for from the get go. Of course there were some questions of what is Bosley? Did it hurt? Would you do it again? Etc. We really didn’t talk about it after that, which is fine. It shouldn’t be the topic of all conversation, haha! All in all, the trip was great, the weather was HOT (over 105 every without day) but it really didn’t feel as not good as one might expect.

Think: In the dog days of summer, your skin needs special care – all by your body! Supercharge your summer skincare regimen by adding the capability of Tända light therapy.
What it is: Follow these five easy tips and get glowing with natural, healthy, beautiful skin.
1. Start with a Clean Palette
that steamy weather means increasingly active oil glands and perspiration makes dirt cling to your skin. Give your face an additional cleansing each day and always clean your face after strenuous activity. The summer heat can additionally aggravate skin main to increased sensitivity and sebaceous secretions.
After cleansing, use Tända Clear blue light therapy on blemishes or blemish-prone areas. that natural treatment will clear and prevent breakouts without any of the nasty side-effects of chemical-based treatments – no irritation, dryness or redness. Find out increasingly about how blue light works!
2. Out with the Old, In with the New
Experts say the best way to keep your skin looking soft and smooth in the summer is with regular exfoliation. that gets rid of dead, dry skin cells.
Use a washcloth, loofah, buff puff, or any number of the microdermabrasion creams or tools that are now on the market, Wet your entire body in the bath or shower. Apply exfoliating cleanser to your loofah or washcloth, and scrub, using gentle, circular motions. Exfoliated skin will help self-tanners go on increasingly smoothly, making them less likely to streak and prevent your glow from fading prematurely.
3. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
During these summer months, keeping your skin hydrated is vital in order to avoid any unnecessary, not to mention unattractive dryness. Hydrate your skin by making certain that you are drinking ample water and plus using a quality moisturizer. Use it after you exfoliate, shave, and shower. In specific, moisturizing after you shave puts the skin barrier back until your own body can do it.
You can plus give your hydration in boost in only minutes by using the Tända Regenerate red light therapy treatment. Three out of four women noticed an instant improvement in hydration after using the Tända Regenerate for only 3 minutes!
4. Protect Yourself
There are lots of things you can do to form skin look good, but the most vital thing is sun protection.
Everyone should wear a sunscreen with SPF of 15 or higher with a broad-spectrum agent that protects against UVA and UVB rays. Apply generously and form certain you put on adequate to cover your entire body, no matter how much it takes. Sunscreen takes 15 to 20 minutes to kick into high gear, so apply it before you leave the house, not when you get to the beach. It is additionally urgent to reapply it frequently – sunscreens should be reapplied every two hours or after swimming or perspiring heavily.
5. Be Smooth and Sleek
Summer sun means bare legs, short sleeves and bikini lines! Being well-groomed means making certain that all your parts are smooth and hair-free.
A good shaving strategy is to shave in the opposite direction from which hair grows. In places where hair grows in different directions and in hard-to-reach areas such as underarms and the bikini area, try pulling the skin slightly, making it increasingly taut and easier to shave.
Nothing can ruin the look of a clean shave like ingrown hairs or a razor burn. The Tända Clear blue light therapy is a great solution to clear up ingrown hairs that are as a aftereffect of the same bacteria that causes acne. The Tända Regenerate red light therapy can reduce the inflammation and redness associated with razor burn.
You could plus try waxing or laser hair removal for solutions that final longer than daily shaving. The Tända Regenerate is great after both of these treatments to reduce redness, swelling and inflammation.

Dr. Rassman, you have said before that minoxidil works for about half of men. The box says that minoxidil has only been proven to work for men experiencing hair loss at the apex/top of head and not for men that are balding from the front. Are these clinical studies made up of men that are already “good candidates”, meaning they have the right kind of balding for the drug to work? Or are all types of balding patterns included in the trials?

Hi, I received a hair transplant FUE type, nearly two months ago. I am a male and aged 46 years. After the first month i developed bumps of dry scalp on the transplanted area only. The Doctor stated that that was a fungal infection, so i started using Nizoral shampoo after using that shampoo for 15 day’s the condition has cleared. My question is, will that effect the hair transplant and the growth of the graphs, to become a successful hair transplant.
Thanking you for you … [visit site to read more]

Oxygen Benefits Your Skin
Oxygen is fundamental for radiant, young-looking skin. It assists in the production of collagen and elastin, as well as with skin repair and regeneration. As we age, the body’s ability to deliver oxygen to dermal tissue deteriorates. A lack of oxygen at the cellular level can cause skin to age prematurely, increasing the appearance of fine lines and age spots, making skin look dry and stupid. Oxygen therapies enhance the overall appearance and feel of your skin, leaving it smoother and healthier-looking.
