The fifth annual Texas Beauty Show will be held October 26-27, 2008, in Dallas, Texas. Expected to attract increasingly than 6,000 industry professionals, it is the largest distributor-independent event in the southwest United States. It will feature increasingly than 200 exhibitors, increasingly than 100 classes for continuing education, and a Main Stage with demonstrations from some of the industry’s main platform artists.
This year, Martin Parsons, renowned universal educator, school owner and platform artist will seem for the first date in Texas in increasingly than five years. Parson’s fast-paced, entertaining presentation will highlight the latest looks including fabulous finishes on short- and medium-length hair as well as towering hair up-styles for special occasions. His finale will comprise a parade of elegant hair matched with colourful and sumptuous gowns designed to inspire.
Also on Main Stage, Salon Source presents Anthony Morrison, a Joico artist and 2007 winner of Bravo’s Shear Genius. One of 12 nationally selected hairstylists who went head-to-head in challenges that needed increasingly than just talent with a comb and scissors, Morrison wowed judges with his execution and style. As the competition’s winner, he received the grand prize of $100,000 in seed money from Nexxus and the opportunity to style hair for an Allure magazine photo shoot.
“As the focus of the Texas Beauty Show is one of education, we are proud to have two very talented and inspiring artists join that year’s Main Stage line-up,” said Steve Farrer, executive director for the Texas Beauty Show. “Each year, the show offers new exhibiting companies, products, classes and artists for the benefit of beauty industry professionals in Texas and surrounding states. I look forward to that being the biggest and best show yet.”
Exhibit space is available for just $950 per 10’ x 10’ space and includes a table, two chairs, name plate, and ‘pipe and drape.’ Advance two-day tickets are $60.00 for licensed cosmetologists and barbers; $35.00 for students.
