I have a widow peak much similar to actor Colin Farrell (as can be seen here ). Since my hairline has receded a lot already the widow peak makes my receding hairline a lot more noticeable. And personally, I have never liked it either. How can I get this removed for good? I was considering electrolysis but I am not 100% sure whether it is really safe?! I was also thinking if FUE could be used to move this hair over to cover some of my receding hairline?! However, I reckon there would be some scars left?! You can easily remove the widows peak with electrolysis or laser hair removal. It is safe, but be careful what you wish for. I had a patient who had successfully removed his widow’s peak, only to regret his decision several years later. He became my patient when he came in to have a hair transplant to re-add the peak. Can I use hair removal if I decide my transplants just aren’t looking right? I am just trying to figure out what my options are to undo the surgery. I met with a patient a couple years ago who had frontal hair transplants at a clinic with results that did not meet his expectations. He responded by going through electrolysis and removing the grafts. He came to my office to figure out what to do with the linear scar. The results of the tedious electrolysis was very good, but in our experience, electrolysis is very dependent upon the skill of the person doing it. The means the results from this process can vary considerably. The use of hair removal lasers also can be a problem particularly if the grafts are large since they leave an abnormal “foot print” in the skin once the hair is gone. Snippet from the article: A cream which slows the growth of hair by 70 per cent could result in men shaving just once every three weeks. It works on both men and women, meaning five o’clock shadows and girls spending hours in the bath shaving their legs could soon be a thing of the past. Adonia hair serum uses organic plant oils to weaken hair formation and is being hailed as a healthy alternative to expensive hair removal treatments such as electrolysis. More than 10,000 people have already put their names on a waiting list for the product. During trials in the U.S. the hair reducer showed an impressive 46 per cent reduction in hair growth after 21 days with a 70 per cent reduction after six weeks. Read the full story — The gel that slows hair growth and lets men shave every THREE WEEKS I can’t tell you how tired I am of shaving my facial hair, so if this is real, it would be very welcome. I can imagine women would love to give this a try, rather than shaving their legs. The product, Adonia Hair Reducer, is for sale via a 3rd party seller on Amazon.com, but there are a few reviews that are highly suspect. Three of the four reviews were posted on the same day, and the reviewers have only written about products sold by that 3rd party seller. Glowing reviews, of course. I don’t know whether the cream actually does what it says, but the reviews I’ve found are more than likely phony, and I can’t find any other mentions of the product actually being used. A hair remover product that works by electrolysis is good for removing hair from the upper lip, eyebrows, chin, chest, and bikini line. The pen-like hair remover displaces unwanted hair by electrocuting the hair roots with an electrified needle.
Electrolysis introduces a very mild electrical current into the moist base of a hair follicle. The electrical current stops the blood supply to the root, which is then neutralized by a chemical action which prevents it from regrowing (a hair remover electrolysis pen can also be used on arms and legs but the treatment will take longer).
*As with any hair remover product, some hairs are resistant and might regrow. They will require additional treatment.

Often we are asked about the difference between laser hair removal and electrolysis hair removal. Anyone who has experienced both treatments can tell you that the difference is in effectiveness and speed.
Electrolysis is usually performed by an esthetician. During this treatment, a needle is inserted into each hair follicle along side the shaft of the hair. An electrical impulse is then triggered at the same time the hair is tweezed. The hair shaft is then removed. The follicle has been killed by the electrical shock it received. Because the follicle itself is now dead there will not be any new hair growth. The process of electrolysis is a slow one because of the fact that each hair must be dealt with individually. Electrolysis will require several visits to take care of all unwanted hair. If you are treating a large area such as your legs or back, then electrolysis becomes very time consuming.
Some pain is associated with electrolysis. The electrical shock used is not really big, but because the shocks are so close together you will feel tenderness in the treated area for a few days. Sometime you can experience red patches that last for few days.
Laser hair removal is friendlier to the body and the patient. Laser hair removal is performed by a laser technician that also can be esthetician. This process is much faster because it can handle bigger area at one time such a legs or full back.
Laser hair removal involves less of pain during or after the procedure. Also newer lasers such as ones at Go Laser Salons are equipped with chilled tip that num you skin and make this procedure even more comfortable. I will not say that treatment is painless as many clinics untruthfully advertise, but definitely easier on patient.
The only precaution you must take is to follow your laser technician advice before and after the procedure regarding the Sun and tanning.
Also do not wax or tweeze your hair few weeks before laser treatment. If you do this laser light can not find a target to destroy follicle and treatment will be ineffective. Shaving or clipping is ok.

One of the best options available because it is permanent hair removal is electrolysis hair removal, which means you will not have to worry about hair removal for the rest of your life.
Electrolysis hair removal is costly but actually it will work out saving you money in the long run, not to mention rid you off the pain you undergo with other hair removal products.
The electrolysis permanent hair removal process will take a few sessions to be finished during which you can work out a pay schedule as well so you don’t have to pay the whole sum at once.
The reason for electrolysis hair removal is adopted by a lot of people today is that, it is almost painless; the only thing you can feel through this process is very faint needle pricks, which can cause a tickling sensation but no pain.
All other hair removal forms may be easier to access and for the time being you may feel they are cheaper or better but nothing can match electrolysis hair removal, as it will get rid of the hair forever leaving you with smooth and beautiful skin.
